Carolyne's work has been published in large and small media markets, such as the San Diego Union Tribune, LA Times, Sacramento Bee, The Chicago Tribune, the Baltimore Sun, The San Francisco Chronicle and the AP wire as a part of the ZUMA press. She also was the print editor for the Fall of 2017 and Spring of 2018 of MiraCosta College's independent newspaper The Chariot as well as the photo editor for the Palomar Telescope in the spring of 2013. Always sketching and drawing growing up, Carolyne has always been a visual person. In 2010 she graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Fine Art (emphasis in photography). After graduation Carolyne moved down to her hometown in Oceanside, CA and began her career as a photographer. After a few years freelancing she combined her love of history and documentary photography into her calling as a photojournalist.


Carolyne always seeks to find a authentic connection with her subjects and is passionate about the ability of photography to tell a accurate and powerful story.
